It was my birthday, 12th, when I asked, by my parents, what I wanted for my birthday. At the outset, I thought they were joking around since I have never asked once if wanted anything for my birthday. They always celebrated my birthday with a cake, candles lit on. I was only asked to make a wish while puffing lights out. 'I want a little wildly predator pet' only thing I could utter since I was freaking nervous and excited.
Finally, the day come up and I ran out of my room directly downstairs to check on the knocked door. 'Is this Mr. Potters' house?' a mailman asked with smiley face holding a notebook and pen on hand. 'Yea, you are exactly staying in front of a queen Potter!' I smiled back. Mailman beamed and continued, 'Could you please sign here your excellencies?' passing the notebook and pen to me. 'Ought I need to do that?! okay, let me do it for you, then.' After the short conversation a mailman left the premise leaving a box in front of the door.
I managed to get the box in somehow. It was a dead weight box, 7 kg. I was not keyed up like I am feeling now, because I totally forgot it was my birthday. Well, I did know that it was my birthday today, but that guy (mailman) made me forget myself, I was like I went in somebody's head. Now, I am frenetic to see what is in it.
Boom! You can't be serious mom and dad. How would you both dare to do this to me?! Do you want me to die. I know you both don't like me. You could've told me that to my face. You didn't have to imply it. You both tell me now, how would I raise a crocodile at home!?
I felt like I was not needed after how my parents surprised me with the wildly violently relentlessly predator. Therefore, I decided to call my pet a Dullidle. My one year journey would start with Dullidle.
For couple months, Dullidle would give me a cold shoulder. He would refuse to eat. You won't believe it took me six months six weeks and six days to be able to sleep with him in his hearth and the edge of the room. Now, we are the best inseparable friends. Yea, he got taller, in length, and bigger. He would move slowly to my bed crawling on the tiles and would climb on my bed.
I've learned many things from Dullidle, first things first, how to be actively patient. He taught me how to never give up on him. I must presume loving someone would need this kind of dedication, loyalty.
Never give up on anyone you love. Maybe you are the only ones for them. Even if you can't get any miracles, you can be a miracle to someone.
I changed his name (Dullidle) to Rosy (even if it sounds as a girl name).
